What Is The Best Way To Sell A Home In A Down Economy?
One way to sell a home quick is to find an investor who buys and sells homes for a living. I am an investor myself, so that’s why you might be interested in what I have to say. Finding a buyer and making sure that buyer is qualified to actually buy your home, not just interested in your home, are your first two big challenges.
So, what needs to happen when you’re in a hurry and you don’t really have time to list your home on the multiple listing service with a real estate agent, and wait for your agent to schedule showings and bring offers? That process can take a long time, especially these days. How can you get a qualified buyer so you can sell a home quick? Is there a trick to it? Does anybody really know how to go about it the best way possible?
One of the best ways I know to find a buyer when you need a quick sale is to actually drive around your neighborhood and look at For Rent signs. There will be phone numbers and email addresses on those signs, and you’ll want to copy down that information to use later. I don’t advise sitting in your car while you make the phone calls, because you may need some information at your fingertips when you’re talking to prospective buyers. You will need to know your mortgage loan pay-off amount as of a certain date, and you will need to know how much equity or cash you want to receive from the sale of your home.
Those are financial considerations you’ll want to have calculated in advance of any conversation with a real estate investor who owns rental property in your neighborhood. Once in a while you’ll find that the phone number is for a real estate management company instead of the property owner. The management company may not be interested in acquiring more homes in your area, but you never know. It doesn’t hurt to ask them if they buy homes, or if any of their clients are buying more homes.
My main point here is that people who own rental property often invest in more than one house in the same general area because it can save on maintenance costs. Finding out who owns rental property in your area can be an excellent step towards finding a buyer when you want to sell a home quick.
